Are paleolithic people egalitarian?
Paleolithic people were more egalitarian thank later people. Wealth, Power, Gender and status played a big role. Strayer Provides a lot of convincing evidence that people in this era lived an egalitarian lifestyle but also not so convincing. Strayer brings a good fact about paleolithic people not being selfish with their possessions."Transporting an accumulation of goods was out of the question"(20). this explains how paleolithic people couldn't bring a lot with them when they traveled. No one kept anything with them which can be understood as equality. No one keeps anything and everyone stays or travels as a group. But not all of strayers facts can be concrete, so saying if Paleolithic people were egalitarian or not has to be in part Strayers opinion only.
